Product specific Data Points Map

Before starting to develop an app would be nice to have a sort of database/map/list with Data Points available for each type of Viessmann product.

Hi,

https://api.viessmann.com/iot/v1/equipment/installations/{{installationId}}/gateways/{{gatewaySerial... will provide all features of the boiler even when something does not work properly with the boiler?

 

For example I am working with a Vitodens 100W + Vitoconnect OT2. Nor the name of the boiler, nor the serial and nor the gas consumption are showed in ViCare and neither in API. I do not know if it is supposed to be like that or it is something that is not functioning well with the boiler.

The URL you stated will request all available features for your device.

 

In general, if a feature is not available (in ViCare or directly via API), it is either not supported by your device or is not provided in the developer clients (not listed on the feature list https://developer.viessmann.com/en/doc/iot/data-points). However, the name, and the serial of your device should be available. Could you provide me your gateway serial so I can forward this internally?

Thank you for your feedback. On https://developer.viessmann.com/en/doc/iot/data-points , we do have a list of features that are currently available. The features are however not mapped to specific products. The features are clustered by the categories "Device", "Gateway", "Heating" and "Ventilation".

 

Mapping the features on each product is a bit complex, as thisis also dependent on the control unit which is installed. My recommendation is to use an API request to call for all available features and then show only the features that are available.

 

I will take your request with more specific feature mapping to our backlog as well.

I run ViCare on an Android 11RP14.200720.011 - ViCare version 3.7.0

However I believe there is something with the boiler (Vitodens 100W) or with the  communication module (Vitoconnect OT2) because the name and serial of the device is not showed either in the API.
